Do Thurston County Parks have facilities available to reserve/rent?  Yes.  Picnic shelters are available during daylight hours at each of the developed parks and there are fees involved.  The Lodge at Kenneydell Park is also available for use. See our Parks  page for current information and park hours.

What is Specialized Recreation?  Specialized Recreation activities are for people with various disabilities.  Thurston County Recreation Services offers Day Trips,  dances, Movie & Pizza night, Bingo, Dinner Club, Special Olympics, bowling, Aqua Aerobics and other activities quarterly. All  participants must complete a Participant Profile before enrolling in our activities. (Available on our Forms page)

Where can I access the Chehalis Western TrailAccess points and parking are located at the Chambers Lake Boat Launch on 14th Avenue SE, at the end of  67th Avenue off Rainier Road, and  Fir Tree Road.  Access points for the Yelm-Tenino Trail are located in the Cities of Yelm, Rainier and Tenino.  Access the Woodard Bay trailhead off of 41st Ave. For detailed directions visit our Trails page.

What sports are offered by Thurston County Recreation Services?  TCRS offers adult soccer (SWSA), coed adult softball, as well as a variety of other youth and adult sports programs throughout the year.
