What's happening now?
|Oct 22, 2013: Paving is complete, storm ponds are all but complete. Fences will be built this week and roads will be striped next week. The 1st week of November the light poles should be up. Thank you very much to the traveling public for their patience over the last month.
Oct 1, 2013: Contractor is continuing schedule of 4/10's with Fridays off. 95% of all the underground storm pipes/structures are complete. Electrical for illumination has been started and will continue next week. The contractor will be making final preparations on Monday to have the site ready for the concrete sub to come in and start forming and pouring curb/gutter driveways and sidewalks. During the concrete work, we expect more congestion at the truck stop, but will be maintaining an entrance through the entire project.
Sept 17, 2013: Construction is currently underway. There are
lane and travel restrictions in place during working hours,
Monday-Thursday. Traffic control personnel are on site, and
access to truck stop businesses remain open.
The asphalt has been pulverized and the crushed surfacing (road
foundation) is being built up. Stormwater work is underway and
clearing and grubbing has been completed. It is anticipated (if
the weather continues to hold up) that the road will be paved in
October. Most of the utilities have been relocated and the final
ones are finishing up.
