Inmate CommissaryCommissary items can be ordered on Sundays and Wednesdays (subject to change due to holidays). Orders received on time will be delivered to the inmates on Wednesdays and Saturdays (subject to change due to holidays). Inmates must turn in their commissary forms by 10:30 p.m. on the day they are due. We accept cash, US Treasury Checks, and US Postal Orders as outlined below. Only an inmate can fill out a commissary form. Please see below for information on how to add funds to an inmate's account.

NOTE: Once posted, funds deposited into an inmate's account become their property. Inmates are not obligated to use the money to post bail. Additionally, if an inmate has a negative balance on their account due to debts owed to the county, a portion of the money deposited may be used to pay those debts. Upon being released from custody, inmates will receive the balance of any remaining funds in their account in check form.

Depositing Money for an Inmate

Funds can be deposited on an inmate's account Monday - Friday 8:30 - 4:30 (excluding holidays and closed 12:00 - 1:00 for lunch) at the Reception Entrance of the Thurston County Corrections Facility and during scheduled video visitation times at the Correctional Options building. During the inmate visitation periods, visitors may only leave money on the account of the inmate they requested to visit with. We accept cash, US Treasury Checks, and US Postal Money Orders. Please ensure the US Treasury Check or US Postal Money Order is made out to the inmate and if possible, includes their inmate number. We do not accept payroll, personal, business, or two-party checks.

You must present official picture identification, such as a valid driver's license or identification card, or a current passport when depositing money to an inmate account.

Sending Money by Mail

We accept US Treasury Checks and US Postal Money Orders through the mail. Please ensure the US Treasury Check or US Postal Money Order is made out to the inmate and if possible, includes their inmate number. We do not accept payroll, personal, business, or two-party checks. We do not recommend sending cash through the mail.
