Picking up Property

Before an inmate can release their property, the inmate must ask for and sign a release form, which must be approved through the On Duty Supervisor. Once the release form has been approved by the Supervisor, the inmate property can be picked up. In order to pick up an inmate’s property, you must be the person specified on the property release form, and you must have your photo identification. WE CANNOT RELEASE PROPERTY WITHOUT PHOTO IDENTIFICATION. Bring your identification to the Reception Window, where a staff member will assist you. You will have to wait for staff to retrieve the property. The following items may be released by an inmate:

  • Keys
  • Quest EBT Card (this card will not be released to any individual unless their name is on the card)
  • State Issued Medical Card (Provider One)
  • Property that exceeds our storing ability may be released.
  • Property of an inmate who was transferred to another facility

Impounded Vehicles

If an inmate’s vehicle has been impounded, you need to contact the arresting agency. The Thurston County Corrections Facility may not have any information about impounded vehicles.
