About every three months, the Sheriff's Office will send a newsletter with photos and articles of interest to the communities of Thurston County.  This is an important way to keep citizens informed of breaking news, trends, and opportunities for crime prevention throughout the County.

A Neighborhood Alert will be sent to different areas of the county when the Sheriff's Office determines that there is either a threat to the area due to ongoing or potential criminal activity or if there appears to be a developing pattern of criminal activity that we feel the public should know about and be aware of. In some instances, suspect information may be provided in an attempt to gain the public's assistance in apprehending suspects.
