This is a list of qualifications for all civil service positions in the Thurston County Sheriff's Office.

All Applicants:

  • Must be a citizen of the United States who can read and write the English language.

  • Must have a High School Diploma (or GED).

  • Examination notices shall contain a minimum age. An individual may qualify to take the entrance examination for a classification which has a minimum age of 21 provided the individual will turn 21 during the life of the eligibility list.

  • Applicant must pass a background investigation including an interview, polygraph, and psychological exam.
