Thurston County residents, who have woody debris from the recent storms on their property, can drop it off at several locations. Beginning Wednesday, debris such as tree limbs can be dropped off free of charge. Click here for more information.
Waste
reduction is a key component of sustainability. The Solid Waste
education staff works to conserve environmental resources through
education and outreach, technical assistance, diversion programs, and
advocacy.
The Solid Waste Program also operates the Waste and Recovery Center at Hawks Prairie and drop box sites at Rainier and Rochester. All locations offer recycling blue boxes.
The Solid Waste Program is part of the Thurston County Public Works Department.
