Internship Opportunity
Thurston County Solid Waste is seeking an exceptional student
for a non-paid internship to assist with the ongoing efforts to
prevent waste. Interns will gain valuable education and outreach
experience and learn waste prevention principles. Job duties are
flexible depending upon interest and experience.

We are your waste prevention and recycling resource.
Our mission is to promote waste prevention and sustainable resource use in Thurston County through education, technical assistance and community building.
The Solid Waste Program also operates the Waste and Recovery Center at Hawks Prairie and drop box sites at Rainier and Rochester. All locations offer recycling blue boxes.
The Solid Waste Program is part of the Thurston County Public Works Department.
