Preparing Materials for Compost Collection Service
If you've signed up for compost collection service, you've made a smart decision to reduce waste and turn organic materials into compost ... without having to do all the work yourself. Click the appropriate link below to find out which items to place in the cart provided by your service provider.
If you're still unsure of what goes in the cart, please call Thurston County Solid Waste at 867-2491. The general rule of thumb is, "When in doubt, leave it out." Plastic bags or utensils, microwave popcorn bags, soil and other unacceptable materials contaminate the entire load and increase processing costs.
