Foreclosure List / Foreclosure Auction Information

Real property with taxes that are three (3) or more years delinquent is subject to foreclosure. To redeem the property after foreclosure proceedings begin, all years' taxes, interest, penalties, and foreclosure costs must be paid (RCW 84.64).

The only way to purchase a property from foreclosure is to bid at the annual auction held in January of each year. The auction occurs in an online environment. www.Bid4Assets.com facilitates our auction activity under contract with the County Treasurer. If you experience technical problems with the auction web site you can call 1.877.427.7387 for assistance.

A minimum bid will be solicited for each property. This bid must include all taxes, interest, penalties and foreclosure costs. The auction is electronic and full payment is due according to the terms noted at the bid web site. In person payment is by cash or certified funds. All other settlement is by cash wire.

The successful bidder will receive a Treasurer's Deed without any expressed or implied warranty. Thurston County does not warrant any property suitable for any use, nor do they make any claims regarding easements, covenants or restrictions. All parcels are sold "as is" and all sales are final. Potential purchasers should seek the advice of a real estate attorney if additional information is needed.

Thurston County does not issue Tax Lien Certificates as Washington state is not a Tax Lien state.

The 2010 Foreclosure sale will be held January 10,11,12, 2011 and continue until properties are sold or the Treasurer closes the auction.
