Scott E. Snyder 17600 Lilly Pad Ln SW, Tenino, WA 98589; (360) 388-2178;

I have been a resident of Thurston County Fire District 12 for the past 11 years. During this time the area has seen moderate growth placing a greater workload on the fire district and it members. The cost of providing an even level of service has increased while levy rates remain static or even reduce in value.

I have spent the past 35 years in the fire service, with the last 18 years as a career Captain. I also had the opportunity to hold the position of Fire Chief in a rural department in a community very similar to district 12. I believe that my experience can bring a new perspective to the organization which will allow the district to continue to be good stewards of the taxpayer’s money and set a course to improve services as needed.

I am asking for your support to help our fire department to continue to be the best it can be.

Everett D. Evans 328 160th Trl SE, Tenino, WA 98589; (360) 264-2694;
Everett D. Evans

I have been with Fire Dist. #12 for 30+ years. I have Served as a Fire fighter, EMT, moving thru the officer’s ranks, and currently serving as a Fire Commissioner. My goals for the district are simple. We need to ensure financial stabilization for the district, provide superior fire and emergency medical services, and make sure our firefighters have the proper training and equipment they need to server us. We also want to continue to provide community outreach programs for fire safety education and foster cooperative working relationships with other response agencies. We are one of the lowest tax based fire departments in Thurston County. I believe in living within our means, and meeting the needs of our citizens, along with allowing for growth and providing an excellent rapid response to your emergencies. I am both dedicated and experienced with the leadership qualities (25 years as a Department manager with the State of Washington), skills, and time needed to do this job.

I’m extremely proud to be part of Thurston County ire Dist. 12 community and thank you for supporting your fire department.

Ballots available beginning October 14, 2015.
