Percival Creek Sewage Pipe Leak

From May 23rd to May 26th 230,000 gallons of sewage was discharged into Percival Creek

All Samples Below Were Taken on May 27, 2020

E. Coli samples collected at the mouth of Percival Creek were 142 and 53 organisms per 100 ml of sample. This is below the public health standard of 320 organisms/100 ml.
Enterococci samples taken at the Olympia Yacht Club and West Bay Park were less than 10 organisms/100 ml. This is below the public health standard of 110 organisms/100 ml.
The results are similar to those from an ambient sample Environmental Health collected on May 12th at the mouth of Percival Creek which were 125 organisms/100 ml.

Warning Signs Have Been Removed


Effective 3/17/20 the Public Health & Social Services Department is closed to
public access until further notice due to the need for staff response to Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Many services are available by phone and email.
