Instructions for videos or photos for electronic inspections are listed
below. You may send more than one attachment.

Submittal Instructions to schedule an inspection.
The video or photos must provide the following information for each
inspection type.
- Corrections from a previous on-site inspection
- Copy of the corrections list
- Show the corrected item
- Minor plumbing installations where a licened plumber's pressure
self-certification is provided.
- Copy of the plumbing permit and the plans
- Address numbers for the home
- Overall view of the entire work area
- Each individual plumbing connection
- Height of the vent connections
- Using a level demonstrate the required slope is provided
- Show how the plumbing drainage system is isolated from the
drainage system to perform the pressure test

- Gas Water Heater
- Code approved water heater access
- Seismic straps installed per manufacturer’s instructions
- Expansion tank if a backflow preventer is installed
- Pressure and temperature relief valve piped to the exterior
terminating 6” above the ground
- Drain pan and outlet routed to an approved location –
exterior or floor drain
- Gas combustion air
- Gas ‘B’ vent hookup
- Carbon monoxide detector for gas appliances installed near
each bedroom area and each floor level
- Insulation under the water heater in unheated spaces or a
concrete floor
- Ductless heat pump installations – Provide photos of the
entire installation including the location of the required CO2
detector and smoke detectors.
- LPG test and tank set
- Show overall view of the entire work area
- Provide any other information noted on the permit
- Distance from tank to vehicular way or protection from
vehicles
- Distance from tank to structures
- Distance to other tanks
- Distance to combustible materials
- Above Ground:
- Show support pad
- Show support for tank
- Below grade:
- Depth below grade
- Cathodic protection
- Regulator vent
- Cathodic testing report
- Show backfill material
- Gas test
- Heat pump installations – Provide photos of
the entire installation including the location of the required CO2
detector and smoke detectors.
- Foundation and Footings
- Demonstrate the following information for all parts of the
foundation. This is best done by a video going around the
structure and check each item where the installation detail is
different. Please use a tape measure to demonstrate the
following:
1. Clearance to forms.
2. Clearance to ground where poured against the ground.
3. Footing size (for footing)
4. Wall thickness. (for FND)
5. Height of wall. (for FND)
6. Rebar is tied in.
7. Rebar is the correct size.
8. Spacing of verticals and horizontals.
9. Laps where required are sufficient length.
10. Hold downs are tied in. (for FND) and any
manufacturer recommended rebar is provided.
11. Anchors are in place. Anchor spacing. (for FND)
12. Venting if this is a crawl space or shown in rim joist on
the plans. (for FND)
