Before delivering materials, please contact these organizations directly to verify prices (if any) and hours of operation. Thurston County maintains this list as a courtesy to the public and does not endorse or guarantee the quality of the service offered or provided.

Remember that you may also be able to post your items on  other materials-exchange Web sites. Rules and restrictions vary by site.

Contact the manufacturer of your smoke detector to see if out-of-service smoke detectors can be returned. Most manufacturers will take back their own detectors and dispose of or recycle the components. Smoke detectors can be shipped to the manufacturer by FedEx and UPS. For a PDF of addresses,click here. If the manufacturer is unknown, out of business, or unable to accept the smoke detector, it can be disposed of in the garbage.
