Commissioner Jonathon Lack currently serves as the Family Law Court Commissioner at Thurston County Family and Juvenile Court. He has been in this position since April of 2013. Commissioner Lack presides over all pretrial family law hearings, as well as domestic violence protection order cases and mental illness hearings.

Prior to his appointment as a Thurston County Superior Court Commissioner, Commissioner Lack served for five-and-a-half years as a Family, Children’s and Probate Master for the Superior Court in Anchorage, Alaska.

Commissioner Lack holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The George Washington University and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Richmond, School of Law. He also completed the Senior Executives in State and Local Government program at the Harvard Kennedy School where he was a David Bohnett Fellow. Commissioner Lack is a former Chair of the Board of Directors of the Alaska Humanities Forum and the Anchorage Youth Court. In 2005 he was recognized as one of Alaska’s Volunteers of the Year and was inducted in the National Youth Court Volunteer Hall of Honor. Commissioner Lack presently serves on the Board of Directors of the Pride Foundation.
